Waterfalls

Overweight? Bored? I know, why not go hiking? Three years ago I decided to do just that, to return to the places I enjoyed as a youth and to discover places I’d never been. I took along my camera and started taking photos. After a while I realised I had quite a collection of waterfall photos – why waterfalls? is a question I’ve thought about rather a lot – so approached a publisher with an idea to produce a book. So Walks To Waterfalls was born.

Published by David Bateman, this 140-page full-colour book features 100 of New Zealand’s best and most accessible waterfalls, with photos, maps and information.

Recently I have been working on The New Zealand Waterfall Project. I have collected photographs of waterfalls throughout New Zealand and put them on Google Maps, along with markers locating them. These are available by province (just click on the link below), or look at all 325 photos arranged north to south.
